Cove Sports Week!!
K-12 Picture Day is tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9th. Bring your picture packets and your smiles!
The 8th graders had a marvelous opportunity to meet with Grande Ronde Community Science at Catherine Creek to learn about the watershed. Students tested water quality, practiced observations, and caught macro-invertebrates. Some highlights included spawning salmon, lamprey larvae, and no rain until we returned.

1st grade enjoyed pressing our own apple cider today after we finished learning about the life cycle of apples! We sampled pasteurized apple cider and it was a big hit!

Cove’s own Sophia Bruce (formerly Sophia Pettit) is taking on an exciting new athletic challenge! Sophia holds several Cove High School track records, including the 100-meter, 200-meter, long jump, and triple jump.
Now, she’s taking her athletic talents to the ice as she joins Team USA in the sport of skeleton!

to run the fun run.

Little Kids ½ Mile Fun Run 10:50 AM (up to 1st grade)
Big Kids 1 Mile Fun Run 11:20 AM ( 2nd grade to 8th)
Information: Register at the event by filling out a liability release form. The kids will be visible
almost the entire race, so it is a great spectator event.

Second grade artists have been learning about the elements of art. So far we have studied line, shape, and color. Today artists combined all three elements to create these super cute bookmarks. We hope they make you as happy as they made us!⭐️
