Youth Alliance Union County is a group of community partners that serve teens in Union County and are working together towards the creation of a Teen Board which will provide unique opportunities for teens in Union County. Teens will be able to inform services for our surrounding communities, serve on a board, learn about local opportunities, talk about what they feel is important to be aware of, and bring this information back to their schools. This event is open to all 7th-12 grade students and will be on Tuesday, February 28th from 6pm-7:30pm @ Cook Memorial Library, 2006 4th Street in La Grande. Pizza will be provided.

The Cove FBLA Chapter would like to thank everyone who participated in our Cupcake Gram Project. It was a lot of fun and a tremendous success. Our community is so amazing, and we are all grateful to everyone who helped us spread the love today.

FBLA SPOTLIGHT--Last night, our senior athletes, band members, and FBLA members were honored at the basketball game. Today, we put Ms. Alexandria Aguilera in the spotlight. Alexandria is a second year member of FBLA and our Vice President this year. She works hard on all our projects and is an amazing example to our younger members. Alexandria will graduate this spring from Cove High School and plans on attending Blue Mountain Community College this fall wanting to major in business. Ally has gained valuable experience in the business world when her, and her mom Christle, started a business during the pandemic named, Aguilera's Amazing Aromas. What started out as a candle-making business now also offers soaps, shampoo, and other products. The Aguilera's were featured not to long ago in the La Grande Observer when they opened their storefront in the Market Place Underground and they launched a dedicated web store which ships across the country. In April, Ally will compete in two events at the Oregon State FBLA Leadership Conference in hopes to qualify for the national convention. Congratulations to Alexandira Aguilera for her successes in the classroom, in FBLA, and in her partnership with her mom. The Cove FBLA Chapter members are very proud of Ally and wish her best of luck in all her future endeavors.
