In the past 2 weeks, we have had 3 positive or presumed positive cases of COVID-19 among our students. Thanks to the prompt actions of parents, students, and staff, quarantine measures were implimented in a timely manner and there was little to no risk of exposure to other students or staff. There has been no indication of spread to others, and we are able to continue in-person school at all grade levels at this time.

Week 12 has concluded! This week came with it's share of hurdles, but we've been able to get over them. We have had to exclude a few students to quarantine for 2 weeks due to outside exposure to positive COVID cases, and a coach tested positive as well. Thanks to our safety protocols, exposure to other students and staff members was very minimal. As the holiday season approaches, please remember to use all precautions possible to stay safe and healthy. Keeping our school open depends on all of us working together.

Cove School District is carefully tracking the situation regarding the county-wide increase in COVID-19 cases. As of today school is on a normal schedule for all classes as we begin the week on Monday. A few students have moved to Comprehensive Distance Learning temporarily due to exposures outside the school. Within the school, we have yet to receive a report of a confirmed case. Please continue to adhere to all mitigation practices.

Today we start our 10th week of in-person school! We are grateful for the support of our community, parents, and students in making this possible. As you may know, school districts in our area are trying to begin in-person school, while others are having to transition to Distant Learning because of COVID. Thank you for remaining vigilant in complying with Cove School's Operational Blueprint so that we can keep our school open. Keep up the great work!

Our Kindergarten and First Grade classes were able to take a field trip to a pumpkin patch this week! They were excited to get some fresh air and put their newly learned math and measuring skills to use, as well as conclude their Living Things lessons.
