
Our very own Superintendent, Mr. Pettit, was "held hostage" during a train robbery while enjoying our ride on the Sumpter Valley Rail Road!



Last Wednesday, our students in 1st-4th grades went on a field trip to Sumpter Valley Railroad. We got to ride the train, experienced a train robbery, learned about the Dredge, and discovered how beavers are helping the environment in Sumpter. It was an exciting and educational trip! CORRECTION- The middle school football meeting is on Wednesday, May 26th at noon in Mr. Hubbard's room. Fifth, sixth, and seventh graders interested in playing next year should attend.

Graduation practice will be at the football field Friday, May 28th at 11am.

SPORTS NEWS-- The Cove High School boy's varsity basketball team will be playing in Imbler tonight at 6:00 pm. The Cove/Union softball team will be in Boardman today at Riverside High School playing Gaston in a state playoff game at 4:00 pm. Come out and support the Leopards!!!

JUNIOR PARENTS/STUDENTS.....Due to unforeseen circumstances the meeting that was scheduled for Monday evening has been moved to Wednesday, 6:30 pm in the Math Room. I will still have handouts available as well as a ZOOM link if any parents/guardians request it. Thank you for your understanding.

Baccalaureate Night for the graduating class of 2021 will be May 28th at the Cove Calvary Baptist Church. The ceremony will be held outdoors (weather permitting) at 6pm.

The sun is out and the 49th annual Cove Play Day is in full swing! A special thank you to our participants, volunteers and community for making this day happen!

Junior Parent Meeting- Monday, May 17, 6:30pm there will be a Junior Parent Meeting in the HS Math room to talk about what to expect during your student's Senior Year & what they can be working on over the summer to get ahead. If you would rather ZOOM in for the meeting, let Lisa Murchison know & a link will be sent to you.

Parents and Students- We have an abundance of lost and found jackets, sweatshirts, and more. Please come and take a look. There will be a table in the Elementary School on Wednesday 05/12 and Thursday 05/13. Anything, that is left after school is out for summer will be donated. Thank you and have a great day!

The Cove FFA Plant Sale is up and running! We have a variety of baskets bedding flowers, and veggie starts. Our hours are 10am-4pm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Safe Routes to Schools Walk Audit Cancelled! For those who signed up to participate in the audit tomorrow, May 5, the event has been cancelled by the grants manager for the state and will be rescheduled at a later date. Registered participants should have received a more detailed email. The grant is still on, only the audit even is cancelled.
