The Cove FFA Chapter and Agriculture Program are once again raising pigs for butcher. In the past we have sold our pork by the whole (~200 lbs) or half (~100 lbs) and charge by the pound based on hanging weight. The Ag Production, Marketing, and Communication Class is seeking information to develop a marketing plan to better understand trends pertaining to pork consumption so we can best fit the needs of our community. After School Program Update: With the Christmas program taking place this evening at 7PM, there will be NO AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM activities for elementary students today. The after-school program will also end for the semester this Thursday, December 16, and will resume January 3rd. There is no after school program December 20-23. Sign-ups for January-May will be available soon on our website.

The Winter Concert is scheduled for tomorrow, December 14th at 7pm in the Cove High School gymnasium. ~Dustin Clark

MS GIRL'S BASKETBALL--MS girl's basketball practice will start on Monday, December 20th at 2:45 in the main gym. Ms. Mary Barnett will be the head coach this year. She will be having a parents meeting on December 27th. Time will be announced once practice begins.

The Cove High School JV basketball games that were scheduled for Tuesday in Imbler have been moved to Wednesday starting at 5:30. The Christmas program is Tuesday starting at 7:00 pm. We want everyone to be able to attend this amazing concert and hope to see you there.

Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort is once again offering a ski and snowboard program on Fridays. There are amazing deals on lessons, lift tickets, and equipment rentals. Kindergarten made a trek to the Cove Post Office to mail their letters to Santa. A special “thank you” to Erin Lair for creating this magical Christmas experience for Cove kids. Please join us for our December Booster Club meeting! It will be tonight, 7:00 pm, in the cafeteria. We will be finalizing plans and sign ups for the upcoming middle school basketball tournament. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Ag Production, Marketing, and Communication class is working on a community outreach program with a local retirement home. Each student designed Christmas cards with a web based design program. Now the students will write personal messages to folks in the retirement home. Shout out to senior Maggie Frisch who spearheaded this project, and substitute teacher Jenny Beverage forgetting cards printed and making it happen! -Brendan Kelley
