Ryan Schaefer and Emma Carson have spent their senior year working independently on two challenging capstones. The Senior Capstone is an elective where students can develop their own project based on future goals, current interest, or community service. Capstone students work closely with a mentor to bring their project to fruition and then present their work to an academic committee for evaluation in a formal oral presentation with an invited audience. Afterwards, the students present their work to the public in a more informal format with tables dedicated to the display of their research and projects.
May 12 from 3:45 to 5:00 will be hallway table presentations of the Senior Capstone projects in the high school foyer. This is open to the public and an opportunity to see the projects and to ask the students about the work they did and what they learned through the process. We will also be celebrating their accomplishment through refreshments. Please stop in to congratulate Ryan and Emma on their hard work and dedication.
