Cove School District is accepting bids for a small portable building.  The building was used as a classroom annex and is wired electric but contains no plumbing.  This building must be removed at purchaser’s expense within 10 days of the close of this sale.    

The minimum bid $1.  Bids will close at 4PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.  The building can be inspected M-Th between 9am and 3pm.  Bid forms (click here!) are also available at the school office, via email (earl.pettit@covesd.org), or by calling the school at 541-568-4424.

Payment is due within seven days of bid closing. This building is offered “as is” with no guarantee or warranty expressed or implied. 

Sale Terms and Conditions

1. PROPERTY INSPECTION:

The Cove School District Public Sale portable building may be inspected between 9AM and 3PM, Monday through Thursday. Cove School District makes no warranty, express or implied, as to kind, year, character, quality, weight, size, or description of any of the property offered for sale, or its fitness for any use or purpose.

2. CONDITION OF PROPERTY:

All property is offered for sale "AS IS, WHERE IS" with no warranty or guarantee as to condition. The customer is solely responsible for determining the condition of property prior to purchasing.

3. BID CONSIDERATIONS AND AWARD:

Cove School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The minimum acceptable bid for this auction is set at $1.  The highest responsible bid on the building will be announced at 4PM on June 18, 2019.  In the event of a tie, the building will be offered to the bidder in the sequence of receipt of the bid.  The successful bidder is required to pay for and remove their property no later than 4PM on June 28, 2019, as per these terms and conditions.  All sales are final.

4. TITLE:

Cove School District’s interest in the property passes to the successful bidder at the time of announcement of award.  At this time, risk of loss or damage will not release the bidder from the obligation to buy the property.  However, until the property is paid for, Cove School District retains possession, as security toward the entire payment of the purchase price.  Prior to possession of the property by the purchaser, when legal ownership passes from Cove School District to the purchaser, the school may, if it decides that it is necessary, practical, or convenient, move the building. The successful bidder empowers Cove School District, as Cove School District deems suitable, to appoint an agent for him to move the property.  Loading and/or transporting as necessary is the responsibility of the successful Bidder.

5. METHOD OF PAYMENT:

Cash -- including U.S. currency, personal check, cashier's check, certified check, or money order made payable to Cove School District.

a. If a personal check is provided, it must be accompanied by a letter from a payor bank or financial institution on which the check is drawn which guarantees payment of the full amount of the check.

b. Cove School District reserves the right to reject any or all personal checks.

6. PARTICIPATION:

Bidders may be barred from participating in Cove School District’s current and/or future public sales for the following reasons:

1. Failure to observe the terms and conditions as set forth by Cove School District.

2. Payment for purchases with a personal check which is dishonored by a payor bank, depository bank, intermediary bank, collecting bank, presenting bank, or remitting bank.

3. Failure to pay for purchases.
