Cove School District 5th Grade Teacher

Head Middle School Volleyball Coach

Deputy Clerk Position

The Cove School District is searching for candidates to fill the Deputy Clerk position. It is preferred that candidates have a strong background and knowledge in the following areas: Budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, experience working in a school setting, student information systems, state reporting, Microsoft word/excel, accounting programs such as QuickBooks.

Qualifications: Hold a valid Oregon Teaching License with an Agriculture Science and Technology endorsement with a high school authorization. Additional endorsements in Math and Science preferred. Candidates must have a strong back ground and knowledge in the following areas: Leadership, Public Speaking, Ag sales, Parliamentary Procedure, Welding/Metals and Horticulture/Greenhouse, other programs to be developed around the successful candidates strengths.

2014 Crystal Apple Award Recipients

Congratulations to this year's Crystal Apple Award Recipients!

Carol Hindman

Carol has worked as 3rd grade teacher in the Cove School District for 34 years, but believes “every day teaching feels like it’s my first day all over again.” Carol loves her student and they love having her as their teacher. She is a leader among staff who has always gone above and beyond the call of duty to help children. Carol manages the weekly food backpack program to help children and families in need, as well as organizes “Play Day,” an event Union and Wallowa county elementary schools look forward to each year. She also volunteers as a chaperone with Cove’s Youth Ski program, and for many years has coordinated the school’s summer reading program. Way to go, Carol!

 


Teresa Aguilera

Teresa has been a dedicated instructional assistant in the Cove School District for the last 15 years. She has been an important asset to the elementary students, teachers and Title I program. Teresa has also worked as an instructional aid with Cove’s English Language Learner (ELL) program, and is a critical member of Cove’s summer reading program. Teresa always conducts herself as a true professional and cares deeply for the welfare and safety of Cove students, staff and community members. Thank you, Teresa!
